Hello everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful week! I wanted to share some snippets of my time in Istanbul. It was a business trip so unfortunately, I was unable to explore the beauty of this country. I spent most of my time at the Fairmont Quasar Istanbul Hotel however, I was able to sneak out to the mall before my meeting. When we did go out as a group, it was in the evening for dinner though each restaurant provided us with wonderful views of the city! For more pictures and to watch my vlog, click, "Continue Reading."
This is one of the first looks I wore in Istanbul. I went down for breakfast and then I hopped into an Uber to Zorlu Center. It was a ghost town in the morning though I was surprised the high level of security in the mall and all around the city. Once the Uber pulls in, they have to pop the trunk and someone goes around the car with a metal detector. Before actually entering the plaza, you have to place your bag/personal effects through a scanner (similar to airport scans) and walk through a metal detector.
I tried both Turkish tea and coffee. The verdict? I prefer Turkish tea! I believe I drank 5+ cups in one day. I'm surprised I wasn't shaking and jittery!
After spending some time at the mall, I rushed back to the hotel to change for the first day of meetings!
The meeting lasted all day so I wanted to freshen up prior to dinner. I hopped in the shower and changed for dinner!
I wore a cropped knit turtleneck sweater with a crochet 3D floral pencil skirt. This was December 2022 however, it was beyond warm so I was a bit uncomfortable!
I also had to try the pomegranate juice! It was a bit too sweet for me but it was refreshing!
On my last day, I wore a sheer white pleated top with my Tory Burch polka dot coat and Derek Lam high waisted pants.
For those of you wondering what Turkish coffee looks like, here you go! It's very dark.
